I know that, I was actually just curious why Jonnguyen1's door lights are different than some of the others' including mine.

Oh..so that would mean base RX uses halogen bulbs in the door lights while F sport uses LED's welded to the light housings?

The questions is: How were you able to get F Sport Rims on a base RX350? Also, did you have all the emblems removed from the back?

I bought the fsport wheels on eBay for like $1400. And for the emblems I removed them the second I got the car.

If you don't mind me asking... why take out the emblems?

I can answer these questions assuming it is common sense

1) yes authentic oem rims, lots of dealerships or folks from wheel stores you will see selling factory wheels on eBay from customers who purchased other wheels or for whatever reason.

2) taking out the emblems a personal aesthetic preference, it does not increase HP but does increase the clean look of the car. hahaha.

Hey, bud... I like the nice sleek look without the emblems. How did you remove them? Were there any holes to fill? Any guidance would be appreciated!

I just answered my own question... the "FSPORT" and "RX350" badging on the back is just held on with double-sided tape. I just removed them and cleaned off the residue in less than 5 minutes. Sweet!


I used this technique... but I didn't need the heat gun, nor did I need to struggle with removing the tape residue (it just peeled right off), nor did I need to buff or polish it. So, I literally just slid the fishing line behind them, popped them off, peeled off the residue with my finger and wiped with a clean rag. Maybe it's because the car is only a week old and the tape didn't really have time to set.... but regardless... quick and easy, and no more badging.

Hey Jon,

The window deflectors are stick on with tape or like the weathertech that they slide inside the door with the windows? I don't like how the weathertechs are, bought them for the ES and the windows can't close tight so on a highway you can hear the wind. Do you still have the extra set? If not where and how much you bought them for? Looking to get it for my RX. Thanks.

Can you please share the tint percentage on the side markers? What kind of tint did you use?

I put a JDM ASTAR Super Bright 5730 Chipsets 7440 7441 7443 7444 992 LED Bulbs with Projector,Amber Yellow bulb in one tail light and got hyperflashing. It was 2 flashes for every single flash on the front turn/mirror lights. I'm going to return them.

2016 RX 450h Fsport with standard headlights.

And, by the way, if you check the owners manual, it will tell you how to remove those tail lights. I do advise using the painter's tape, especially below the light unit, as it tends to fall down once you pull it free from the clips.
