Default Filter

You will see zero increase with a K & N filter over a clean paper filter. Zero HP and Zero mileage increase. You will let a lot more dirt into your engine. If you like your engine, stick with the stock filter and change it more often. Your engine will be glad you did.

Can we chime more on the pros and cons of K&N air filters?

What about the AEM ones that do not require any oil?

Or is it best to keep the regular paper filters?

I use K&N on my acura for years. Love them, better performance than stock filters in my opinion. they have it available for the 2016 RX. Try knfilters.com and search. Keep us posted on how it performs.

Some sites said the K&N 33-2455 fits, but I can tell you it does not fit the 2016 RX 450H FSport. K&N on the left. Stock filter on the right. You can see the shape difference.

The K&N filter, with less flow resistance, gives more power than paper filters only at wide open throttle (WOT). There is no benefit, power or efficiency, during normal driving conditions. If I were on a drag strip I would go for it. I base this on knowledge, not opinion.

I use them. Only benefit, it is reusable with proper care. No better or worse than a stock filter.

Default Thoughts on KN drop in filter?

It's $60. They claim don't even need to clean for 50k miles. And it's lifelong.

What are your thoughts?

I have a 2016 rx450h
