Thanks DFC. I tried using that button but it only makes the video display "fully" on the main (left side) screen.
(Disappointing if the system cannot take advantage of the full 12.3 screen . . .)

So it would look kind of stretched if filled the whole screen.
But then again if it did we would complain about that.

I am pretty sure you wont be able to display/scale across the whole screen.
I asked the Lexus tech guys how to install a wallpaper image for the "screen off" background. Not a single image I used across several resolutions would occupy the whole screen. I even installed a background image exceeding the 1200x900 and it was shrunk down to fit the old screen size with black borders. I was told the display had alot of old legacy "code" forcing the old display resolutions down to 8". Bummer....

Lexus sends out lots of surveys so we should all make sure to let them know about it.

Wait wait wait... back up for second. Are you guys talking about an aftermarket DVD player OR there's one that comes standard OR is this an upgrade you had to pay for?

I noticed the DVD only displays when the vehicle is in Park. Does any one know how to override this and display during Drive? The rear passenger kids are asking.

DVD player
Can the entire screen be used to watch a DVD?
The nav screen will not go full screen when watching a movie.
Any suggestions or tips would be helpful
Thanks

Not sure about USB but you can plug your iphone into the 3.5mm jack using a converter (or several converters).
I recently did this to test it and it works. I haven't installed my Nav/DVD override yet.
These are the cables you need to use the 3.5mm port with your iPhone.
Lighning to HDMI:
HDMI to RCA:
RCA to 3.5mm 4-pole:
You'll need a short hdmi cable and some RCA couplers to connect them all together.
This is what I got:
RCA Couplers:
6in HDMI:
