Can you explain why I hit my head more often in the 2016 than the 2010-2012?

I suspect you're too tall. People say it is great to be tall, but in reality, it is great to be 5' 9", like myself. Most seats and equipment are designed for someone of my height. Case in point, I have never bumped my head on either model. There have been a couple of airplanes, where I needed a cushion to see over the panel, but these were designed in the 1950's, probably by an engineer that shared your same height issue and didn't get the memo to design it for someone of my stature.
As for the 2016 RX, it does not feel like a "hop up" to me. I just slide in. Of course, they may have had someone my size in mind when they engineered it... Just sayin.
