Noise power rear cargo door

I love coming here to, thankfully I love the ignore list feature more :P
Have you ever had a non-power door open in a second? LOL Unless your tripping on something nope. The suggestion is that it should open a bit faster, and its not a bad suggestion. If you can control the gate height, one can probably program the speed of opening as well reasonably.
In regards to the noise problem, just like your pulsing deal, I would inform Lexus as well and see if their are any TSBs of such.

Well yes, of course. Like we've shown by testing the lift gate of a 3gen will stop before cutting your arm off, shifting a 3gen in reverse while going 60 mph forward only pulls up the rear camera without destroying the transmission. We're all about testing...that is with appropriate safety warnings. Some of us have spare time on our hands.

Everyone's got different priorities and different wants. Its a car, and that to it is north of 50K so its ok.

Lexus did not want the truck opening everything you walked past the back of the car so by holding your hand over the emblem for a second or two or even touching the emblem to a second will get it to open.
I waved like hell at my emblem when I first got it but after thinking about it realized my error.
The rear door loudness is not an issue unless you are over sensitive to things like that. If so you will be irritated by many thing in the world!

When I got the car on Thursday I tried to open the door by placing my hand in front on the emblem-about 3 " away. It did not work so the service guy came out and did the same thing ( about 2" away) and eventually the door went up. I figured that this was a waste until I read your comment as well as others. Again, I am happy to say that it works great! Finger, elbow. nose, whatever as long as it is at the top of the emblem.

Thank you for your comment. I did exactly what you said and, voila, the door worked perfectly.
