Parking guides not working
Can't get the parking guides with the yellow Marines to work while backing up.
When I try there's a little diamond with a"!" In it next to the mode selector
The mode selector is also non existent in the vehicle settings menu.
Besides that in a seemingly unrelated issue opening the back door by holding my hand over the logo works about 10% of the time
Any insights?

Touch Free Power Rear Door - I just lightly touch the top of the Lexus oval badge for 2 seconds and it opens every time. Take your hand away when you hear the beep.
Sorry can't help with the backup guide lines - haven't studied that section yet.

I found this in the manual (p. 352):
The estimated course lines are not displayed
• The steering wheel has been moved
while the battery was being reinstalled.
• Battery power is low.
• The steering sensor has been reinstalled.
• There is a malfunction in the signals
being output by the steering sensor.
Stop the vehicle, and turn the steering
wheel as far as it will go to the left and
right.
If this does not resolve the symptom, have
the vehicle inspected by your Lexus
dealer.
I turned the wheel in both directions as instructed and it works!
I did have to boost the vehicle just before it happened. So this explains everything.
And, BTW, holding my hand just above the logo works much better too, thanx!
I will however let my dealer look at into see why the battery is draining requiring a boost -- about once a week. Obviously this should not be happening.

There's a button on the dash, to the left of the steering wheel, about knee level, called view. I've been messing around with it and it can change what you see and how you see it.
