Default Trouble Finding Ideal Driving Position on 2016 RX350

I purchased a new 2016 RX350 two weeks ago and have been having hard time finding an ideal driving position ever since. I am about 6'1 and 190 lbs and have driven the previous 2015 model which had very comfortable driver seat.

On this 2016 model, the push start ignition button is very awkwardly placed that protrudes out and my right knee brushes against it, forcing me to move my seat slightly backwards from my ideal position to avoid it. But overall I feel this model's driver seat is just not as comfortable as the previous 2015 model.

Anyone else have this issue?

Not here. Had a 2015 RX as well. Never thought it was uncomfortable, but the seating position and the seats themselves (luxury package) on the 2016 were among my reasons for buying it.

I recall a similar complaint on the 3rd gen Rx with the luxury seats. It had to do with the seat extenders not being as comfortable as the regular seats. I'm still deciding on my Rxh if I like the seats.

Primerib-it sounds like your "ideal driving position" makes you want to pull the seat too far forward for your height. Maybe you need to try to work that up/down adjuster downward, and then recline to compensate that move, then pull back wheel telescope? I am 6'0 and have a 32" inseam (I know I aint buying slacks here but giving an idea of leg length) and my knee is nowhere near that button.

Hi Radio88, sounds like we have a similar height/build, just to give me a point of reference, in your ideal driving position, how far is your knee from the push start button (roughly in inches)? And do you still have a slight bend in your elbow when holding the steering wheel at 3 and 9 position? Thanks.

My knee sits about 4" back from the switch. My seat is all the way back, max downward (this is important as it draws your knees back more due to angle), reclined back for comfort, and max wheel tele toward me for slightly bent elbows. Very very comfy and nice leverage all the way around. I tell ya, the more I drive my 350 the more I appreciate everything about it. They made a good one here.
