Yes, mine has done that before. I took it to the dealer and they flashed it. It hasn't done it since. If you're driving and you need to reboot your system, just press and hold down the left radio **** for a few seconds and the entire system will reboot.

Will not reboot with button push, had done that before when the screen went blank.
HU appears totally unresponsive.
nothing seems to energize the HU.

Sounds like a visit to the dealer is in your future. Take pics if it's doing it right now but they should be able to pull a diagnostic and see. Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

Mine did show pink screen when the vehicle first started, nothing would work, then in about 30 sec everything worked fine. Dealer replaced the head unit under warranty. All good now.

This just happened on my wife's RX last night. First, the system would not change sources from either the steering wheel or the dash. Then the pink (magenta) screen. Then the screen went dark. I pressed the power button a few times, with the pink screen appearing, followed by a blank screen. At some point, the system rebooted, with the screen displaying a messages to the effect 1) it was looking for the maps disk, and then 2) there was a network problem. After a few more (~2-3) minutes, everything went back to normal.

Is the vehicle under warranty?
I had the black screen several times, but not the pink and the dealer replaced the whole unit. The pink screen of death is a well know problem in some units.
If still under warranty go to the dealer for a replacement.

I noticed the same issue for my RX that happened 2-3x in the past week or so. My warranty ends in March so I'll be sure to visit the dealership for a fix/replacement. Thanks!

This happened to me 3 times in 2 days over the weekend. The infotainment system screen would turn pink and then reboot. I setup an service appointment at my dealer. They said that there was a TSB for the issue for a firmware update. That fixed the issue. I also had them look at a hesitation issue was having and they updated the ECU, and Transmission computers and that also fixed that issue.
