XM Trial Subscription Renewal
#31
Just wondering if folks are renewing their XM radio subscription after the 3 month trial period? I would renew it if it wasn't for the fact that they require subscribers to actually call them to cancel (if in the future you change your mind). If XM had a business model like Netflix, where you can simply go online to cancel your service, I would definitely renew..

That will not work. The second you change the date it verifies and will not change if not the valid date. Best to have them invoice you and then have the bank send them a check.

Strange so many people have problems cancelling XM service. I have cancelled it before, no problems. Once just because I didn't use it very often, and twice cause I was trading in the car. Yes, they try to keep you, but it wasn't really a hassle.

Tell them to bill you and pay via gift card. Best Buy has $15, 30 and $50 gift cards. Post them to your account and you are good to go.
Put a reminder in your calendar to call and cancel about a week before the due date. Call early in the morning and they will take negotiate with you or cancel as you requested.
