Default How to respond to phone voice prompts

Just bought 2016 RX350 and trying to learn the systems. I'd like to be able to respond to automated voice prompts (like "press 1 for English, press 2 for Uzbeki") while doing a hands-free phone call. When on the call and I get such a prompt, I tried pressing the steering wheel talk button and screen says to speak the digits I want to send. Then it tells me to press the off-hook button or say "yes." When I do either of those methods my call is terminated and the tones for my response have not been transmitted. This ability would sure make the hands-free phone feature more useful. Has anyone been successful doing this? thanks, -- rich

The Lexus phone interface is still a work in progress. If only they had gone with Apple Carplay like some of the other manufacturers we would not be the "beta" test customers. If you have an iPhone you can use Siri thru your system with better results.

Hi Rich - you probably already know this but just to be clear. The red arrow is pointing to the "off-hook" button.

Thanks Macs4RX -- yeah I have no trouble with finding the buttons or making and receiving calls. I just want to be able to respond to prompts from automated phone systems when they ask me to "please enter your password" or to "please enter the extension you want to reach" or "press 1 for customer service, press 2 for sales". Seems like everyone would want to have this capability in a hands-free call.

Well, this feature works consistently for me now -- can't think why it failed all the time earlier. Don't think I actually changed any settings to get this working. Maybe I was responding too fast before. I'm quite happy with the voice commands for phone operation now.
