Based on all the problems I've read, I just leave the shade rolled back and deal with the heat. Window shade does help. Maybe I'll get a price to tint the roof?
UPDATE: $80 for the best tint that blocks ~90% of the heat. Sounds like a good option than to risk opening and closing the shade.
