Blizzaks are great winter tires - I had them on a FWD sedan I had a few years ago.

Encouraged to see some discussion about the quality of the Nokian Hakkas. I have always gone Blizzaks or X-Ice. After some research, it certainly seems that the Nokians have a bit of an edge for winter performance. Very happy not to be buying something made in China. Also looking at a set of wheels from Fast wheels. Whole package with sensors is around $2000 which is way more than I have ever wanted to spend in the past. But based on performance and look, I think I am making the right choice.

I wanted to get their WRG4 for my vehicle but they did not come in 20" so I got Toyo, But I wish I could have got the Nokia. Now if you can use studded tires their nbr 9 is what I'd use.

I don't know how I have never noticed these tires! I always google "best winter tire in Canada" and not until this year did it show up. But so many people like yourself endorse them. I will find out this winter what I have been missing out on!

That said, you can get the WRG4 on our cars if you opt to go wider. Kal Tire (the only authorized dealer for Nokians in Canada) have the 265/50R20 listed. I'm tempted to go with those ones when it comes time to replace my OEM Bridgestones; but I don't like the fact that I can only get them from Kal Tire here...

Have always had a soft spot for the Nokians since having them on my Acura and BMW.

The only drawback is that KalTire is the only distributor.

Good for you that you were able to get them, no regrets I can tell you.

My oem wheels are the 20” fsport wheels..
i picked up a set of 19” fsport wheels from a 2015 - I am debating what size tires would be best.
i found a few available sizes
235/65/19 - about .8” taller - I think it should clear the suspension - any one have personal experience
235/55/19 - this is 1” shorter - would this look weird??? I don’t want that “huge wheel gap” look
245/55/19 - the wheel is 7.5” wide - would the 245 be too much “tire” for the width of the wheel?
^ any thoughts would be appreciated.

https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wheel1=235-55-20X8ET30&wheel2=245-55-19X8ET30&fcl=50mm&scl=50mm&wcl=30mm&sr=0mm
In the MINUS section, for 235mm and 19", recommended ration is 60 which give an error of -0.2% compared to the 20" OEM wheels.
If you go with 55, the error is -3.5% (which is over the recommended max of 3%).
For the 245mm, it seems to recommend only in the PLUS section with diameters from 20" and over.
For the tire size availability, that is another story.
I would go for 235/60 R19.

I had Blizzak 245/60R18 on my first 2016 RX 350, worked well. I would suggest you try to stay as close to the original diameter as possible.

I haven’t seen any - the sizes I listed in post were the sizes I found snow tires available for.
to the other person that responded - I already have the 19” wheels - getting 18” wheels at the moment isn’t an option.

I used my winter tires and wheels that were previously used on a 2014 Ford Explorer. Same bolt pattern, just needed different lugnuts and centering rings.
That RX was totaled in an accident (not my fault) with the winter wheels on it.
