It was a nice deal, I think I said earlier that it was like free money. This past December to Remember, the offer for financing was 0.9% for five years or 1.9% for six years. I picked 1.9% so the monthly payment would be lower, and I plan to pay it off without penalty early, so I figure in the end the 1% difference won't be a big deal.

Default Fixed Pricing

My dealer is now doing "upfront pricing". Basically they're talking about $1500 off an $51,000 RX. Am I crazy or are they? I see people here claiming $5000 off etc. What's the real truth? I'm seriously thinking about buying out of town. I've been a customer of this dealership for 27 years and have owned 11 Lexi and help family members buy another 7 or 8. Yet they claim their best offer is $1500 off. I wasn't born yesterday and an not naive. But am I missing something?

Go out of town. My two local lexus dealers would hardly give me anything off. I ended up flying to Atlanta and driving back home. Cost me $160 for a plane ticket, and $20 for an uber, and a saturday, but saved $6000 over what the local dealer was offering me.

Just picked up last month a 2017 RX 350 F-Sport White/Black Interior with the most packages included even the 12.3" screen with Mark Levinson package and got them down on a lease to $565/month with $2500 down. I believe the Cap Cost of the car is considered to be about 54K and change. I didn't even go to the dealership to make the deal mostly handled it over the phone and just went in to check the car and sign papers and left. Basically got 10% off MSRP on a lease deal.

If you can disclose, which dealer you end up with?

We ended up going with Jim Falk of Beverly Hills.... Santa Monica Lexus was a close second, but Jim Falk caved first.

I'm not sure if you understand how financing works. Your interest on say a $40k loan for 5 years at .09% will be under $1k, total. That's for the whole 5 years. The same $40k over 6 years at 1.9% will be more than that half way through your second year. Basically, if you pay the loan off at around month 15, you'd be paying the same interest as if you would have just gone with the 0.9% for 5 years. Letting both loans run their course, you would be paying about $1,500 more on the 6 year loan.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe for TMC their fiscal end of year is March. There may/could be another push next month to bump up their bottom line.

I'm leasing a 2017 RX350 here in Vancouver Canada.

$5,000 down, 39 months $559 per month total after taxes. Seems like an amazing deal considering the lowest I could get the Murano dealership down to was $489 a month with $4,000 down. And this is obviously a much better SUV. Started out with offers of $635, then $630, then next dealership was $614, then finally got one dealership down to $589, then finally got a fleet lease pricing for $569, then a little bit less at $559 through an auto broker I know. And that's Canadian funs eh

That's $426 in US Dollars! Did I do well or what!
