2017 RX Best Prices So Far?
#1006
Hello everybody. I've been a Toyota fan for decades. Recently sold my 1995 Supra twin turbo. It had 82k original miles and was 99% stock. Anyway just picked up a new 2017 Rx350 F-type. Atomic silver with black interior. AWD, Blind spot, tow package, 12" navigation w/ Mark Levinson audio, cold weather, HUD, triple-beam LED headlights, panorama sun roof, touch free rear door. MSRP w/ $995 added for dealer delivery, processing and handling was $61,474 on the window sticker. Negotiated it down to $57,000 OUT THE DOOR. Sales contract listed the price for the Rx at $53,663. The finance guy was very candid with inside info. He gave me a copy of the invoice which showed the car at $58,073. The dealer holdback was $1,202. Bottom line is I got the car for over $3,000 under what it actually cost the dealer. They lost money on the sale.
I'm not crazy about the f-sport pedals and especially not the footrest. Going to price replacements for them and sell the f-sports when replaced. Will post them where available.

There is also the possibility that there are differences in parts (updated) and electronics for the 2018, but you would have to know someone in the know about said matters to get a handle on these changes as manufacturers always reserve the right to change things without telling you. Such is life. Enjoy whatever you purchase.
Remember Lexus incentives are always "or" and not "and". Either it's financing rate or the rebate. With the US Fed thinking of increasing the interest rate and other trade tariffs being the levied about (the newest one being reciprocal trade tariffs) I personally would not vacillate much if you are in the market. However, who knows where matters will finally land?

The 2018 models are actually less expensive (around $1K) and the Lexus Enform Safety and Service features are now free for ten (10) years versus only one (1) year free for the 2017 models and this worth some money too, so you're looking at around $1.5K price reduction over the 2017 models. Although less costly, the 2018 models will likely also yield a smaller deal reduction to compensate for matters. If you are buying a 2017 simply look on the driver-side door jamb to learn what month it was manufactured and how long it has been sitting on the lot. In my area, they do not sit long as all and when we purchased our 2017 they had for just a couple of weeks before we bought it.

On the luxury model, before incentive the difference is 600 CAN$. Current incentives: 2018 0$ and 2017 5,500$.
I wonder why the slight price increase, the feature list looks the same. Only colors can differentiate. And for the 2017, the choice is now very limited to whats in the lot.

very nice car, for sure, not taking anything away from it, i have all those options and then some, (msrp 65+k) the tough part is the seats dont work for you, or the pedals, not sure what else but many have had to walk away from a F because of the seats.. hope they work for you or there is a solution down the road.
let's take the 61500,
then the selling price of 53600
thats about 13% discount off msrp all in. (lexus incentives included) (for a 17 with 18s out)
13% is a fair deal, to good deal, many have gotten 15% and higher much earlier in the year. heck i had a dealer offer over 9k plus $2500 lexus cash,
this isn't to rain on your good deal, or new car. just to enlighten you some about the numbers of the deal. the finance people are always shifty seeming to me, saying whatever

I'm sure there were better deals out there but I am satisfied that I did as well as it was. Yeah, the finance guys are shadier than the salesman. It's their job to sell you a bunch of ridiculously overpriced stuff. Huge profit margin for the dealership.

i saw you mention again you got the car under dealer cost, and holdback and they gave it away to you because it was the best financial thing for them to do, they have lots of fluf to make it seem great

I am in Northern California and thinking of replacing our Odyssey mini with an RX.

Looks like there is $3000 cash on F sports only. With the current not so positive review of F sport on cnbc - https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/24/lexu...it.html...what is a fair pre-tax price?

I've had none of those issues with my 2017 RX350F.
Sounds like they got a lemon!
