Do you guys have any video or tip for me to follow to pop the cover off the mirror? Just picked up a 2021 don't wanna be break the hinges or retention plastic clips (if any).
Did you actually buy and install one of these? Looks like a great solution. How is it in use; what's the quality of the video?
Also, the web site is less that informative. Shows 2 options for Lexus; A & B. Presume that differentiates the type of other equipment behind the mirror. Which one would be for the car that has the rain sensors, lane keeping, etc.?
Just ordered the Fitcamx. Will see how well it fits/works. Great price and I like the OEM look of the installation. Received a follow up text from China within minutes of order placement asking for specifics of my car. Asked and replied in full English, which sounded legit. Fingers crossed.
As a follow up, just received and installed the camera. Amazingly easy! Tool included to pry down the module in the ceiling. 2 identical wiring harness adapters included (one's a spare according to the manufacturer). Totally plug and play. Just follow the on-line video and you're good to go. I accidentally pushed the camera lens back inside the housing when I was installing it. Had to take out the 4 screws holding the camera in the housing. No big deal, but broke the warranty seal covering one screw. Saw the date of manufacture code; March 2021; brand new. Manufacturer says this didn't void warranty, pays to be up front. Amazing customer service too, from China no less. Responds to my emails within minutes.
Only issue is the app. I installed Lucky Cam. It works well, but I had to play around a lot to get it to function right. The app settings default to it connecting automatically and running all the time the car is running. That cuts off android auto and Bluetooth connections from my S20. Fiddled around and figured this out, but in the interim, messed up the camera settings and even killed the battery in the car . Called roadside assistance and when they arrived, the car started on it's own.
Video is great. nice stealthy installation. May not have all the bells and whistles of the high end units, but for what I want and the price, it's fine.

I did get and install one of these. Works great! The app on my Android works fine too. It's called "Lucky Cam". Google or YouTube how to connect it. The picture quality is very acceptable.
Does anyone know how to open this cover under the rearview mirror to access the rearview power adapter on the RX? I'm looking to install the dashcam power with this splitter. It's not as simple as the GS models.
In my 2016 RX450h, both of the 12v+ sources are hot. I'm trying to find an ignition source for my Uniden R3 radar detector. Also, when I tapped it, it would not let me lock the doors or turn off the lights.
But the problem is that on my wife's 2016 RX450h, both the black wires are continuous. The one indicating ignition, is not on my vehicle. Does anyone have a true wiring diagram?
I have a 2019 450RX, and I recently bought and installed a dashcam on the windshield and run the power cord to the cigaretter lighter to power it up. Does any one of you here know if there's an always-on power line inside the rear view mirror housing, where I can open it up and directly attach the dashcam power input wires to it, similar to many people power up their radar detectors through the power behind the mirror (if it has power to it)?
I can hook it up to the fuse box, but that will require running a long wire to the fuse box and may look not as tidy as just a short wire from the windshield to behind the rear view mirror. Also, I want to power the dashcam at all times including when the car is parked, so that it can record videos in case another car hit my car or if someone try to break-in, as the dashcam will automatically record if it detects vibration when parked, and the cigaretter lighter is powered off when the engine is shut off. This may also be the case for the power to the mirror, but just to see if this would be a viable option. Maybe using the fuse box is the only way if constant power is needed.
