mirror tap install for radar power line?
#46
Does any one of you here know if there's an always-on power line inside the rear view mirror housing, where I can open it up and directly attach the dashcam power input wires to it, similar to many people power up their radar detectors through the power behind the mirror (if it has power to it)?

Thank you very much for the fast reply! I have not checked the fuse box yet, but is it easy to access? Where is it located?
Also, I guess in the owner's manual or somewhere online there's the info about how to tap into it's power connectors in the fuze box - such as which terminals can be used to power external accessries, right?
Thanks again!

I bought this dashcam about 1.5 years ago, and it was fairly easy to install, no exposed wires whatsoever, and looks like a factory option. It is not powered 24/7 like you want, though maybe some extra wiring by you could solve that problem.
FWIW, I also have a 2019 RH450h...
