It looks like the part number for the seat heater is the same for 350 and 450H from 2016-2019.

Is it really worth it? If the back seats were not prewired you'd have to run the electrics all the way back there and also install a switch. Frankly I'd buy real sheepskin covers and be done. The difference in cost is ENORMOUS.

this is the back of the front seat, comparing the 350 to 450
FRONT SEAT BACK, LEFT; FRONT SEAT BACK, RIGHT.

this is in regards to some thinking the 450 heater or voltage (wrong) was different

Don't know about after market wiring. Mine came with rear seat heaters.

Sorry I thought it was in reply to a person here that wanted to install heated back seats.

Default 2019 RX Luxury Model Heated Seats

How are the heated seats and heated wheel in the 2019 RX Luxury model? I have a 2017 RX Luxury model and the heated seats are awful. It can often take as much as an hour for the seats to heat up. The wheel seems ok. My dealer is offering me a very good deal on a 2019. I am concerned that the issues with the heated seats and wheel are not fixed. Thoughts?

This is weird. Almost all 4RX owners complain the heated wheel. And I don't remember anyone complained the heated seats here.

I had a 2019 RX350 loaner recently, during a cold spell. The seats were absolutely fine with their heating. No complaints whatsoever. The wheel, however, was worthless. I had it on for 20 minutes and still couldn't even tell it was on.

I spent this morning reading a very long thread about the heated wheel and seats where there were many complaints about the seats. From what I gather if it's a 2016 RX the heated seats are fine but the 2017 RX luxury models have issues. The 2017 F-Sports and hybrids are ok too. Not many posted anything about 2018s or 2019s.

Fortunately my heated wheel is fine. However I plan to check that carefully when I test drive a 2019. The heated seat problems are specific to the luxury model. Do you remember if the loaner had a wooden wheel with the heating only at the 9 and 3 positions?

I have a 2018 with the Luxury seats (semi-aniline leather with thigh extender). I normally leave seat temperature in auto with the computer setting to lowest temperature, but my wife leaves hers in manual 3 because she prefers her seat to be a heating pad. She would be the first to complain if the seats weren't hot. She has not complained about the back seat heat either. I find setting 3 is too hot.
I find the steering wheel gets too warm for my preference, I usually turn it off after a minute. I don't find the unheated wood to be an issue - it doesn't conduct heat so not only could it not be heated effectively, but it doesn't conduct heat out of my hands either.

Don't know why, but in both our Rav H and our RX , the seat heaters warm up much faster that in non hybrid versions. Maybe because hybrids do not have an alternator, and thus might have full 12 volt charging going to the seats. Perhaps hybrids have more charging capacity.

I have a 2017 RX350 F Sport and I have almost a non-functioning driver seat heater. Car has been in service for for 1.5 weeks so far. They said the heating grid is inside the cushion and have to special order it to replace it. Supposed to get it back tomorrow... supposedly.
