Lease return-2016 rx350 f sport

I don't understand the logic behind fuel economy as a reason for returning the car early at a significant loss.
Your rx is getting around 14 MPG, a gas powered luxury car would best case get 25 MPG. If you drive 20,000 miles per year that is 566 more gallons of fuel ( regular gas). At $4/ gallon, that's $2,270 per year. That is assuming that you can find a car that is in deed 11 MPG (real world) better than RX while using only regular gas.

carmax give me $39k for my car. I just give her the look are you kidding me and walk away. Lol
im in the market for 2010 cause it looks better then 08 and 09. I dont might to pay 3k or 4k on the negative equity. Hopefully this will be my last car without change for different car for a long time.

3-4K is not that bad if it means enjoying the car. Have you made a decision?

Op, unfortunately your not able to just "return" the car. You either have to trade it in, or have somebody take over your lease. In order to terminate the lease, it needs to be paid in full meaning your 730 a month times the remaining number of payments. And if you do end up doing a trade-in just know that you will NOT be charged for any mileage overage or damage since the loan will be paid off. Lexus only does lease end inspections based on a lease TURN in. Also, you do not get charge for mileage overage on a yearly basis. It's charged as a total at the end of the lease . Hope this helps!

~$2200 is the true price difference, which can be recouped in 8 years if you drive 10k/year. 450h includes many of the options you have to pay for on the 350. There is tons of breakeven analysis in the hybrid forum but no one buys the hybrid for only gas savings. There are other benefits, another big one is the lack of a jerky/hesitant transmission. FYI!
