Do you think you buy the car again and why?

 

Got a few positive comments at first but now there are so many on the road that it hardly gets a second glance.

 

I got. Looks good. Looks like Darth Vadar in the front.

"I like ur ride man, I'm working on getting one myself" -random theme park employee taking his smoke break admiring the RX
"u could work part time as uber black" -my boss
"Mmmmm Damn, that ride is sexy as *****" -me (a redneck Asian American raised by Tejanos and an All-American Boy Scout Master/United States Marine with the talent of a black R&B singer and dance moves of Michael Jackson and Turbo from Breakin')

Yesterday at the gas station the attendant told me I had a "cool looking car". I can only imagine how many cars he sees everyday so that is a great compliment.

But yes, some friends see the predator face. But when I look at BMWs, I see the angry bird's pig's face. Better to have an angry looking face for me (get out of the way!!).

 

"Nice car! I'm looking to get one for myself, how does it ride?"

 

I had a 4RX loaner yesterday and got a "thumbs up" in the Costco parking lot.

 

I got a lot of "looks" when i got the car in November 2016 when the model first came out. Guess a lot of people haven't the redesigned model on the road yet back then...

 

I had a gentleman approach me right after I had picked it up from the dealer. He had me roll down my window so he could say "That is a great looking car." Never happened when I had my bimmer.

 

I have still not warmed to the new 'jaw-dropping' styling.
I guess people buy the brand and reliability more than the design.

 

I actually had someone say, oh I like those Nissan Murano's. That was really annoying.

 

I got a lot turning heads a first (summer 2016).

Still today but less. I can see at red lights some BMW and Mercedes drivers pretending not looking but their eyes right at me.

I still get some compliments too. And also over hear people commenting the looks to their friends/spouse not knowing I could hear them.

Once coming out of a store came a man that ownes a 2013 RX450h asking me how it was. He loved the new model and wanted to change his. I invited him to take a look!

 

I don't blame them. Japanese cars all tend to have that same 'manga comics look' about them... for lack of a better term. And I've owned Japanese most my life.

 

My wife said " Look Nissan copied the RX look!"
