Took my car to the dealer this AM for a leaky rear shock replacement...called back telling me they were taking care of the shock and wanted to steal all of my money replacing filters (funny considering the air filter is a K &N and I'm not paying $48 for a cabin filter that takes me 30 seconds to swap)...he did mention PCV valve. Didn't know cars still had them...can someone tell me location or a video DIY? Thanks

Because it is an inexpensive part & easy to replace, I would do it at 90K miles. It is located at the right rear as you're facing the engine with a small hose connected. Look for the pink plastic ring on top. See photo: 2013 -17 PCV valve
The PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve is an overlooked item but easy to service. Most of the toxic crankcase air goes through this valve. Over time it can get all gunked up.You can replace it or clean it with CRC Lectra-Motive electric parts cleaner or something similar. Do not use any product that leaves a residue. Definitely not WD-40. How often to service? Who knows. At a bare minimum I would say every 8 years or 80,000 miles. Very easy and very inexpensive.
If you have a can of carb clean, it's not a bad idea to pull it out every year or so and clean it to prevent build up. Not a lot of Aftermarket options for these things yet, so unless you are going to buy other items from the dealer, I wouldn't go out of my way to buy a new one as a preventative measure.
