I have a 2017 RX350

this is the airfilters and cabin filters I use.

I dont like the charcoal ones.....I like the white ones.

bought them from a toyota dealership for $45 for both. Definitely could of gotten them a little cheaper...just impatient. Installed them in minutes, hope this helps someone.

So disgusted with dealerships, probably have to start changing my own oil.

Default Cabin air filter

Bought aftermarket cabin air filter, only had air flow arrows, not up like stock filter. I put arrows down assuming air flow was from top. Correct? 2016 rx350.

It’s not factory air filter. Top or original filter was dirty indicating air flow was from top. Arrows indicated direction of air flow like your home air filter?

What spin speed do you use for your cabin air filter? Joke, joke!

Just found out arrows that indicate air flow go down. Air comes from top. Thanks

This is the picture from the TIS manual for cabin air filter installation for 2020 RX350.
I believe that this is confusing however bc this shows the frame direction, but since air flows from engine into cabin, the flow comes from above and therefore the filter goes in upright. My OEM filter had no arrows on it but the writing on the side of the filter is upright. You can also tell by the ends of the filter have the the ends towards the bottom like the letter M and not W.
I am just amazed how complex some companies make the change. My 4Runner you just open the box and the cabin air filter cover is right there....no need to remove glove box. Much easier. Still not $150 of labor but still....

Hi there, I am a Lexus Master Tech and I am working on a series of maintenance and repair videos that will cover the latest generation RX350.
Here is my video on how to replace the cabin air filter.
Please hit me up with any ideas/suggestions on what other stuff you would like to see in the future in the video comments.
Thanks!

Default Simple maintainence

Although I have a mechanic do most of the maintenance, I thought I share some simple DIY that I found.

Maybe it will help save some time and money.

If it does not release when you squeeze it you could squeeze it and use a screw driver to pry it out.
