I would never buy a GM product. Period.

I do not like that Lexus charges to use the remote start feature but for the yearly price I think it is worth it to me. Mercedes did the same and they insisted on keeping your credit card in house so they could stick it to you yearly without any effort on your part. I thin the nice Porsche people do the same.

Everyone has a choice here to do as they wish.

Apparently this module will allow you to use the key fob to remote start the car again. Might be a better route than paying the Lexus tax every year.

There are many more options than just take it or leave it. Write to Lexus, tweet, use social media, spread the word, install a module, etc.

You can also cancel your other Lexus subscriptions. Report it as broken functionality. Make sure your dealership records it.

I signed up for the $16/month. After talking to Lexus Enform, I am convinced that I can cancel in the spring and reup next winter. For about $100/year, I'm not gonna lose sleep.
