Bluetooth Works Better on 2017 RX than 2016
I made a similar post on this yesterday, but I can't find it. Perhaps I hit the wrong button and it never posted or maybe it's here but I am missing it.
Anyway, I traded my 2016 RX for a 2017 to get the safety features. One irritant on the '16 was that the vehicle could not "catch" Bluetooth unless my phone had Bluetooth turned on before starting the car engine. There was a work-around by "rebooting" the radio by holding the power button down for a long time. But it was annoying that my son's 2014 Corolla would "catch" the Bluetooth but my car could not. But the 2017 is EXCELLENT. Catches it as soon as I turn it on (on the phone). Perhaps there was a software update on the '16 that I was unaware of? It really is not my problem any more, but for those of you with '16s you might want to look into this. I'm a heavy iPhone user and batter life is an issue...so I keep the Bluetooth off unless I need it in the car.
