Damaged side view mirror

Drivers side mirror repair.
While backing out of the garage, the driver's side mirror just kissed the garage door framing. Minimal damage to the mirror body exterior, only a little separation of the plastic housing that won't snap back into place. I'm hoping to learn how to open the mirror housing up without removing from the vehicle, anyone have tips or can point me in the right direction?
