how hard were the lighted door sills to wire.

 

I'm so confused! Tried to find something in the rear area of my 2019 rx350 and finally realized how poor the lighting was. Searched on Amazon and google and there are so many options, few with reviews. What's the best, easiest and most straight forward way to upgrade the interior lighting in this car? Looking for brighter. Maybe backup lights next? Upgrade all lighting? My car came with the horny door sill illuminated logos for a mere $300+.

 

I want to replace the stock lights in trunk area. I needed to look for something last night and realized how really poor the lighting was I have a new 2019 but very basic car. Would like to upgrade all interior lights, backup lights and new logo ghost (door projection) lights. How about a link to easy, diy replacements for all these? Looking for brighter than stock., Thanks in advance!

 

My 2018 RX didn't come with the LED light package for the interior so I just replaced all the interior bulbs including the trunk to all white LEDs. I also added the illuminated "Lexus" runners for the front and replaced the front puddle lights with LED Lexus logo lighting. Also changed the rear doors puddle lights with extra bright white LEDs too. Bought all those LEDs from eBay.

 

I want to order the lights for the trunk area that include a complete replacement module, not just the bulb. Seems easier. For the front map lights and overhead light, removing that chunk of plastic seems daunting. Any links or references to a video, Youtube, instructions etc?

 

Can anyone help and offer directions on how to remove the dome/map light cover to change bulb to LED? I just scratch the cover using a plastic tool 🤦🏼‍♀️

 

I have a 2017 RX 350 and the interior lights seem SUPER DIM. Anyone else upgraded their bulbs to LED? What was the difficulty level and was it worth the effort?

 

I did mine 2 years ago and it was cheap and easy. Well worth it.

 

Which interior lights aren't LED?

 

If I remember correctly, none of the interior lights I replaced in my 2017 RX were LED.

 

None of the interior lights are LED, that is why I am considering buying an LED upgrade kit. From what I understand, I just have to unplug the old and plug in the new. I was just looking for some verification on that before I buy the kit and start popping off covers.

 

I dont thiink you can replace the map lights. They are LEDs.
