He states, "In my 11 years, I have yet to replace one. The sensors are programmed more sensitive now and it's normal to get the warning message in rainy or inclement conditions." I got the car back after they ran diagnostics and everything was deemed to be normal.

Here are my two scenarios when the message to clean the ICS sensors appears. The sensors operate normally when there is dirt or snow. After a hard rain shower or light rain, however, I begin to see the error message.
(1) Sunny weather. Car is parked in a parking lot. It starts to rain while I am gone
(2) I return and start up the car (no error message to clean my sensors)
(3) Put in reverse (no error message)
(4) Put in drive and start driving (error message from parking sensors that I am closed to a front object pops up first. Then error message to clean my sensors starts nonstop)
(5) Turn off car (error message goes away)
(6) Repeat (same situation)

The other scenario is
(1) Drive on the highway in heavy rain (no error message)
(2) Slow down and exit to about 15-20 mph (error message starts appearing telling me to clean the ICS sensors)
(3) Come to complete stop at a light (error message exists, but then goes away)
(4) Start driving again from complete stop (error message appears)
(5) If I go back onto the highway and start driving faster, the error message goes away

As an owner of several Lexus vehicles, I am baffled that my local Lexus dealership has refused to do anything. I have the scenarios documented. Also, I have many recorded videos to show when the warning displays. My Lexus dealership won't replaced any of the sensors because they say the sensors are operating normally. I believe the issue has to be with one or more of the front sensors. I have a F-Sport model. I believe due to the design of the grille, there could be a leak or an opened seal around the sensors. I carry microfiber cloths to wipe the sensors when I get the message. However, that doesn't appear to help as long as it's raining.
Yep similar to mine, again F Sport, only twice in near two years, both times with heavy rain on the freeway. I haven't had it looked at as it rectifies itself the next day or so and like I said only has happened twice. Been a few people on here with the same problem so may well be a design issue, which means replacing the sensors probably wouldn't help.

I have driven my Fsport in heavy rain a few times now, sometimes long distance on the free way, with no issue. This sounds like a sensor problem.

Me too, no issue on heavy rain or when other cars are splashing water. Maybe water is getting into the sensor electronics or wiring.

I have a 2015 GX with the same problem. Heavy rain...the middle front sensor goes off when the car is in drive and stopped or not moving very fast. When I go over 3 mph it stops beeping....until I slow down or stop...then it starts beeping again. It's happened 3-4 times in the last few years - all associated with big rain events. We get a lot of rain here but it's a rare problem. I expect it to stop going off in a day or two. From the above discussion it's clearly a moisture issue. My repair guy saw the problem and was puzzled. It's not worth replacing the sensor so we'll move to Arizona...

I too have experienced this issue. Moderate to hard rain will trigger my sensor. Sometimes to the point where I have to disable it. But other time while driving in the rain, it's fine. :-/ Glad to see I'm not the only having this issue.

I bring it up every time I go in for service, but always get the same spiel- that everything seems to be operating correctly.

Of course it's operating correctly....probably because it's not raining inside the shop.

Just thought I'd let you know I get the same problem here in the UK. :-(
My 2013 F-Sport has done this several times now and always after a particularly heavy downpour - I've not experienced it happening whilst out driving.
Interestingly, I don't get any error message - and the problem usually seems to disappear when the car dries out...
Touch wood, that's what happens this time....
In the meantime, I've now found out how to disable the sensors temporarily - because I find the beep-beep is very distracting when there's nothing near you and you're not parking!

I saw this message once (so far) on my 2018, while driving in a deluge of rain. When I got home and parked in my garage, I used a towel to dry the sensors, and I haven't seen it again. I assume that's the way it's supposed to work.

I’m going to remove the bumper (it’s very easy to do this) and dry the water off and clean sensors with a leaf blower and apply extra waterproofing tape around the connectors of the sensors. I recently upgraded to the F sport front bumper too.

Happened once just recently with my 2016 RX350 but it was an unusually heavy downpour that involved flash flooding in our area. Hasn't happened since

I am just wondering is this normal, has anyone else had a similar experience?
this has happened to me many times. Its normal. The system is designed to shutnoff in heavy precip.

we have had this issues repeatedly with our 2018 RX350 F Sport - the dealer FINALLY replaced all sensors - It is STILL happening! Dealer cannot seem to figure out how to fix it.

It happens to all brands, the technology is not perfect.

I guess when it rains, you'll have to park it yourself........
