Default Woman survives 30-foot plunge in RX

I wish there was a little more detail on this story about a burly accident in San Antonio. Apparently, a woman managed to drive her RX off an overpass, and while she needed medical attention — obviously — she left the scene in stable condition. What's left of the Lexus actually looks pretty decent, considering. Seeing how it performed was enough that one of the cops called to the scene recommended people buy a Lexus. Though he probably should have recommended they not drive them off overpasses either... There are a few more pics on the HP.

I can't believe it held together as well as it did. I saw this on the CL homepage a little while back and didn't even realize this is down the street from where I go to school. Crazy!

I'm going to go ahead and guess that was totaled even though it didn't look too bad. I wouldn't want that thing back!

Any bets this was caused by distracted driving? My guess would be texting and driving.
Glad she wasn't seriously hurt.

Reading the article referenced and in more detail on other sites, it seems that the car did not actually plunge down 30 feet in the air. It ended up 30 feet from the highway above but the path it took was down the ramp partially shown to the left.

Oh yeah, I'm sure this baby is totaled. And even if it wasn't, I wouldn't want it back either. I'd likely buy another one though!

I had an accident on my 2014 450h that bashed in the driver door and front end. I was able to visit the body shop when they had everything torn apart and was very impressed by the sturdy parts with which the car was built I feel safer in the RX than any other car I've driven.

I'm not surprised there were no serious injuries in that accident. I'm sure it was a bumpy and shocking ride though!
