I had the car in, again, last week and the dealer said it's operating "within parameters". Here I am, an engineer, being told that. It's insulting.

Same as above. At first they said they couldn't reproduce the sound and kept the car for 2 days. Now they hear it, but it's normal. No it's not... like I said above, it only started doing this after 26K miles or so. Doesn't seem to be getting worse or anything, just annoying as hell.

My suggestion for issues like this is to have a service advisor or whomever, to ride with you so you can (hopefully) duplicate the problem and make very sure they see/feel/hear whatever is happening. If you get the old "it's normal/they all do that", ask to drive a similar car as yours and see if that one does it. If it's the same as yours, then you're stuck. If it doesn't, ask them to explain why.

I tried that and the service advisor saids "every car is a little different, but this "behavior" is normal".

Ditto. Been there done that. :-( Same type of answer... My next step is to involve the person next in line above the dealership (or just get something other than a Lexus).
