Towing with the RX
Would any of you hesitate about doing this? I need to buy an enclosed cargo trailer for my business. I'm looking at a size like this one: https://www.trailersplus.com/Texas/F...BC1010HT022960
My RX 450 Hybrid has the towing prep package. This trailer weights 1,000 lbs and I would put no more than 500-1,000 lbs inside. My concern is handling. Would the height & width of this trailer make it too hard to drive down the road if it is really windy, etc. Or would you have to find yourself driving at 50 mph because it sways you all over the place. Also, the wear and tear on the vehicle. I don't think the latter would be too much, it would be for local short trips and the longest trip would be about an hour away, drive there and back a few days in a row, several times each year.
Of course I would be driving it like a baby. This trailer doesn't have any extra breaking system, but I don't know if that would be really needed since a lot of the weight should be on the axle.
I swore my previous 2015 RX 350 I pulled a 6 x 12 uhaul trailer packed full of stuff and I don't remember having any problems with it.
Thanks for any input you can share.

I'm set up to tow my 6X12 dual axle enclosed trailer with my 450h. I pulled it around my neighborhood several times & it did fine there. We shall see what the open road dishes out. I have trailer brakes on both axles of the trailer & my trailer weight is below 2000 lbs. unloaded. I'm cautiously optimistic right now, so whenever I get the car back with the new 7 pin wiring harness installed, I'll give you a full report.

i have a 2010 RX450h FWD and we accidentally towed 4000+ lbs of rocks behind it, the store told us its only 500-1000lbs, the car handle and pull fine but when braking and some ******* cut you off is problem...

I asked my neighbor as his set-up is similar to what you want to do. His trailer is 1150 lbs and he has carried 12-1500 lbs often. He told me there is no problem with the handling, but the braking leaves a little to be desired when fully loaded. He has no trailer brake.

Fastford, great! I'm getting the trailer and see how it goes. I can always add brakes if I think I should.
Now, wife doesn't like the way it makes her luxury SUV look, but I told her she's a tough girl now... I have an RC so it must be hers.
