Default Mark Levinson 15 Speaker System - Best Sound Settings?

Curious to know what people found to be the best sound settings on their 2017 RX350's with the 15 speaker ML setup running on AUX/USB?

I have ipod set to flat on the equalizer. With that setting I have the Treble +1. Mid -1 and Bass 0. This has the most natural sound to my ears. However, I also have a dedicated amp'd JL Audio subwoofer that has it's own volume control.....

USB Flash drive with various 192 - 320kbps mp3/m4a. Everything is flat/default; only exception is Surround set to On. Happiest at these settings for me.

What makes those settings the best? The treble is overly shrill. It sounds washed out.

It took me a few weeks of driving to setup the audio settings for all inputs. The best setting is what you ears love the most.

Asking what sounds best is like asking what is the best color?

Agree, do what you like best. The ML system in this car is the first time I haven't screwed around with settings...sounds great out of the box. I listen to all kinds of music too but don't prefer heavy bass.

Everyone's hearing is different. Just play around with what works best for you.

Ideally, soundstage in a concert, the sound is coming from in front of you with the bass response all around. You should never hear the sound behind you. Also, the ML tweeters are really sharp so keep that in mind.

It also depends on the type of music you listen to. I like house, pop, etc.

Take the time to listen to each type, low, mid, high and find the baseline. Then do minor adjustments as you drive.

Which should still provoke a response related to the question

So you haven't adjusted the settings at all between a wired connection vs. BT, Satellite, etc. ?

Thanks for sharing, I have noticed the tweeters being very sharp which has kept my settings at close to neutral. The intent of the post was to have owners share their settings. I'm sure some people will find this helpful

It is great that SAT, FM, AM, etc have separate settings.

I find I need to bias the sounds way to the rear and crank up the volume for best results or all sound comes from the front of the vehicle. Then I adjust each to my tastes.

Love the ML radio.

nope. I guess the older I've gotten I don't care as much. Plus sat always sounds terrible so I don't even bother. Hd radio and USB sound great to me and are the most freq sources I listen to.

Unfortunately USB audio doesn't work with my Android/Moto Z Force.....very upsetting! I'm thinking about putting a ton of music on a flash drive and playing from that. AUX is a good temporary solution, but I like to charge my phone while in the car.

Guess I'll be getting an iPhone next!
