So I need to think about a Kia now, as they are leading the PP100 rankings. For the first time ever.
They are leading in IQS, but not reliability. You're 36% more likely to have complaints with the Lexus in the beginning, but 35% more likely to experience reliability problems with the Kia in years 2-3. You choose. I would rather get everything fixed under warranty in the beginning and not have to worry about my car after year 3.

Absolutely correct. Initial quality is looking at the first six months. The car is under warranty so might be a pain to take back but no cost. Dependability is looking at a three year old model. Add to this Lexus is the third least expensive to maintain behind it's cousins Toyota and Scion. Audi is the fifth most expensive.
