Unhappy drive issues of new Rx

Hi
Any advice between getting the new 2017 Rx or 2015 pre-owned Rx?

I have seen changing lanes, turning feel more unstable on new 2016/7 Rx 350 vs the older 2015 Rx 350?
Its harder to accelerate new Rx. Even though little heavier it has more horsepower so I thought it would be easier. Same issue in sports mode.

Thanks

I recommend getting different brand. Lexus is for those who know how to change lanes without complaining on the second post.

From what I have been reading a lot of folks prefer the 2015 model. I never owned the 2015 model but I do agree with what your saying. I find the driving characteristic to be a let down. Poor noisy acceleration, vibration, hesitation and sloppy handling. I would definitely look els-ware.

WTF am I reading - lane changes are unstable? I drive my RX sometimes as I stole it - it handles well for a heavy cushy vehicle. What do you expect? A Cayenne? F-Pace? What?

Is this what you are experiencing?

Hmmm..

New is always better. Do you have money to get a new RX? You can't go wrong with the 2015's but come on.. it's older. Suspension is much better on the new RX, and give it time, you will enjoy the acceleration and power. EVerything is better on the new RX. If you don't feel that way, you prob made up your mind already and should go with a more safer, cheaper, route with the 2015. gluck

I think he was just comparing it to the 2015 which is smaller and lighter so I wouldn't be suprised.

HA at the reliant robin.

i haven't driven the older model - so i cant speak to it.. however, i have enjoyed every mile as the driver and passenger of my 2017 RX. I've ridden and driven a few SUVs in the past years and even more recently and i would say that its on-par or better than those vehicles.

Just remember that its an SUV... its not a race car.. and it wont feel like you are floating on clouds...

you should really go out and test drive the vehicles rather than relying on subjective input on an internet forum.

Get a different brand, this new model is a joke, its noisier than other brands , transmission is waky and the ride is not what it used to, a better car is the Q5 , drive that and compare the two, Lexus has dropped its initial quality and no longer the leader.

Love both of my new 450h Hybrids. Smooth power and lots of it!

It is actually fun to drive.

I drove the Q5 and went with the RX. Everyone will have their own preference.

Since when do people purchase the RX for its handling capabilities? For us it was about interior space, comfort, interior quietness, styling, ride height and safety.

I like the body style of the 2015 over the 2017, but the 17 comes with a lot more safety features + you can haggle on the 2017, so we ended up buying a 2017. The difference b/t a low mileage 15 and a new 17 is about $11K OTD.

Maybe you should take some driving lessons ? seriously, this would have to be one of the sillier comments I've ever read

That doesn't seem to be borne out in the Sales figures?? .... Q5 is NX sized and doesn't compare anyway
