The first character of the VIN for vehicles built in Japan will be a J. For vehicles built in the US, it will be a 1, a 4, or a 5. For vehicles built in Canada, it will be a 2.
There are a number of VIN decoders which give other information about the car. Here is one of them.

The VIN number decoder proved to be very helpful..
Found a 'J' car, also the color look horrible on the pictures but the VIN call for ''dark blue mica'' so we goggle other samples and we end up with a awesome 450 lease return from Arizona (no way to tell that I guess) that nobody came to look at (we think because the color was to ''Bling'')
We look forward to learn much more about this wonderful car..
Thanks.

Not true unless you're not in North America market. No 450H delivered in NA are made in Japan - custom ordered or not, doesn't matter. Your VIN for Canadian made with start with number 2 while Japan made cars VIN would start with J. Check for yourself when you get the car.
I'm talking about 2019 and 2020.. old ones had some cars coming from Japan. And on same lines all 350L and 450HL are made in Japan.

Your dealer should have a temporary VIN which you can check on lexus drivers site. Anyway, lets not argue on a car which you or dealer don't have a hand at. Once you know the VIN we'll discuss. And VIN is almost public info, so you can totally post it her if you have one.
