2017 RX350 F-Sport AC Condenser
Hi guys,
I just bought the new RX350 a couple weeks ago and noticed immediately that the A/C wasn't working properly. When the temperature was set to the lowest temperature and the highest fan setting it was blowing straight warm air on the driver side, and rear vents. The passenger side was a little cooler, but definitely not as cold as it should've been. I finally got it to the dealer and they said that it had a faulty condenser. They're replacing it right now, luckily its covered under warranty. I'm just wondering if anyone else had a similar issue? Also from my understanding a condenser issue is usually caused by some kind of physical damage?

for such a new car... if they needed to replace the condenser i would imagine that a rock/road debris went through the condenser.
otherwise... maybe it was just a faulty seal...that caused the refrigerant to leak...
i would ask when you pick up the car.. but for them to cover it under warranty if it was due to a rock/debris sounds surprising..
if it were a seal or o-ring that makes sense they are covering under warranty.

As with any new car by any manufacturer, problems from the factory happen. All those companies that make parts for automobiles are not 100%
I wouldn't worry about it too much. I have not noticed any long threads about A/C issues other than user issues as to its design features.
