Just wondering if anyone has managed to put 17" steel/alloy wheels for winter tires on their 4th gen, it *should* clear, but I don't have a 17" wheel to throw on. Looking at the OEM RAV4 wheels.

I think the recommended wheel is an 18" I have 20 as stock and use 18 for the winter. Might want to check the winter tire and wheel thread.

Using 17 would be a pretty tall tire to match the diameter. Something like a 235 70 17

 

I think 17 would be strange. You're probably better off getting an 18" Toyota Highlander steel rim.
