Navigation System Question - Mark Location?
On my 2010 RX450h and on my 2013 RX450h navigation systems there was a "button" labeled "Mark" on the lower bar on the map screen. When in map view, if you selected that button it would enter the location into the address book so that you could return to the location at some future time. I found that to be a useful function if we were passing something on a trip and wanted to make sure we had the location to stop on the way home. I also used it to correct those instances when the POI database had the location of a destination way off from its actual location and I knew that I would need the GPS to get back there again sometime.
About six weeks ago I purchased a 2017 RX450h for my wife and this function is not on the map screen. I have been trying to find an alternative, but can't seem to find an answer. I'm hoping it is a simple "cockpit" problem and that someone out there has a simple answer for me. Thanks!!

Don't ask me how to use it but I have it on mine...2016 RX350 12" display. I have hit it by accident and it does mark the location...Maybe you just to play with it a bit more,,,or there is the owners manual.

If you use the mouse to point the cursor at the spot on the map that you want to mark and, then, click the mouse on the spot, the option to mark that spot (or to set it as a destination) should come up on the bottom of the screen.

The way I described it in my original post is the way it is on the 8 inch display Nav for 2017 according to the manual. For some reason it is just not carried over the same way to the 12.3 inch display application.

After I could not find anything in the written manual, I downloaded the 402 page PDF and used various search functions like "Mark" but could not find an answer. Then I came to the board.

Yes, the map is repositioned when you click the mouse on the location that you want to mark, but, if you subsequently press the "home" screen button, the map will return immediately to its normal position.
