How expensive? Some parts for this car are cheap, while others are astronomical. It makes no sense. My Acura was standard Honda parts for the most part & most parts were readily available & very cheaply priced. Sometimes I feel like people treat this car like an exotic, just so they can change more!

With my dealer discount it was $625-ish

i agree some parts for this vehicle are cheap. I purchased the OEM running boards for $400.

OMG, that’s insane!! Do you know what the cost of the option was from the factory? I’m just curious, since only one car had it when I was shopping & it had the more expensive Mark Levinson sound system that I thought was severely overpriced.

I don’t know the cost of what it runs from factory but the part lists at $850-ish dollars at all of the Lexus parts departments.

you can get 15% by entering coupon LEXUS15 --> $89.49 discount so total is $507.10. But shipping is still ~ $32.

This one from Scosche looks like a very nice clean factory install.

It comes with wire connectors to connect to your cigarette lighter. So you can have a clean OEM-like install. No need for a cigarette lighter charger either.

We’ll guys/gals I got the OEM charger connected up this weekend and everything plugged in perfect and what not...however the charger would only blink orange and never charge the my phone. I browsed around the internet looking for any kind of information about the blinking orange light and found a few mentions on some Toyota models saying that’s the charger was bad or take it in for service.

So so I called the dealer and told them about my issue and he said the bring it back and they’d give me my money back. Which is good because almost always they never give all your money back especially on electrical parts, so I got lucky.

I’m not sure if I got a dud or there is more to the install than just plug and play. Lexus parts guy and myself seemed to think there might be more to it than just plug and play, so we got me my money back.

I’m probably just going to install the Scosche unit I posted a few posts above as it I’ll be able to get a clean OEM like install and not have any wires be seen.

Did you go thru the infotainment system & see if there was some kind of setting on/off? Lexus/Toyota is famous for burying menu crap deep within their funky system....just saying.

Let's see how it fits

Perfect

The second pcb fits inside but decided to mount it outside instead

Accounted for the 3m tape height and it's more or less level

Tapped into my dashcam battery hardwiring
Please clarify some abbreviations:
pcb
pcba

I love learning new things, but respectfully, I can’t stand abbreviated techno-jargon when I’m trying to understand something new.

I purchased a Qi charger from Amazon:
Amazon.com:
https://www.amazon.com/Docooler-Wire...R4S1KDHTN0KGV6

And a Anker Quick Charge 12vt plug:
Amazon.com: Quick Charge 3.0, Anker 24W USB Car Charger (Quick Charge 2.0 Compatible) for Galaxy S7/S6/Edge/Plus, Note 4/5, Nexus 6, iPhone, LG G5 V10, Samsung Fast Charge Qi Wireless Charging Pad and More: Electronics
You need to use this type of plug to get at least 2 amps to go to the Qi charger.
All together it was about $30.00

It works and fits perfectly for my Samsung S7 - phone stays put and no sunglasses blowing up :-)

Bought on Amazon, Fits space in front of th shifter on the 2020 perfectly. Plugged in to one of the adjacent USBs and seems to charge my iphone xs fine. Don’t know how fast it charges yet.....time will tell.

so I just took a 4-hour drive with my iphone on the wireless charger running Waze and listening to podcasts all the time via bluetooth. Wireless charger plugged into a 2.4a cigarette lighter adapter (12v) and at the end of the trip the phone was warm, charger was not and the phone was at 100% charge. Next step—-> waiting for the wireless carplay dongle to arrive Monday.
