I did get a "free" (due to large down payment-I don't think Lexus give stuff for free anywhere ha ha) key replacement for five years anyway. But I don't want to take a chance breaking the fob. I have a tendency to drop things on concrete. -_-
Thank you.
Yes it will work. The two leather covers that come with the car wear out quickly if you keep it in your pocket. The silicon covers last for years and years.
I tried both the with uncovered buttons and covered buttons and I prefer the covered buttons better if that helps. Less likely to snag and easier to clean.

Silicone a bit cheesey for a luxury car just my opinion.
its part of the accessory package in the states, wheel locks, rear cargo area mat, key gloves, or they can also be separate
the key gloves might be in the glove box,
Cargo Net/Cargo Mat/Wheel/Locks/Key Glove $299.00 on my build sheet,
Any Canadian owners here? I search everywhere inside the vehicle. Found a goodie bag and only things I found was a small travel size pillow with the huge Lexus logo, a Duffle bag type of bag with same logos and stuff and a touch up paint pen that matches the body colour of my RX.
Anyone here from Canada received free cases for the keys? I can call the deanship, but I don't trust them to give me a honest answer. If I know for sure that it supposed to be there, I will go down to the deanship and will not take no for an answer.

Yeah cheesey but functional. My key is in my pocket most of the time so no one ever sees it. I wear out the leather one in 1-2 years and it looks worse than the silicone one by that point.

Agree 100%. Pick your favorite color, can be cleaned and fits like a glove. Threw my leather ones away. Wife and I have different colors so easy to identify who's is who.
My 17 RX came with two leather "gloves" for the fobs as part of an option package mentioned in post 8. I found them too bulky in my pocket so removed the gloves and tossed them in a drawer somewhere.
I have a 2016 RX350 and have been using the silicone covers since March of this year. I believe the 2017 FOB's are the same from the loaners I used
while the RX was in for service. They are sturdy and durable and provide good protection. The color choices are limited but make identification easy. The
only down side is how well they fit. The ones I got are somewhat difficult to get on and the dealer caused a tear in one of them at the 18 month service
when they removed/replaced them to replace the batteries in the FOB's. The dealer felt bad and offered their leather cover as compensation. For the low
cost, getting another silicone cover wasn't an issue.
Hi everyone,
The case works great. It just dosen't have the cutout for the physical key so I made a small cut using a blade (see arrow on the image). Fits perfectly and for $7.50 Canadian for two covers is like nothing!
Say what you want, but there is nothing cheesy about a silicon key fob cover. I actually got a glow-in-the-dark cover from the dealer’s gift shop. It keeps my fob from getting scratched up & accidentally pushing buttons in my pocket. I can always find it. After grenading two fobs in my pocket, I’ve had some form of silicon cover on my last 3 vehicles. That got very expensive. It’s my vehicle & it’s no one’s business how I cover my key fob. It works for me & I’m very happy with it. It must not offend many, as folks ask me where I got it all the time.
