I agree for sure. Luckily I don't think the RX has any widespread problem with the sunroof but more isolated cases.

I asked the sales manager at Lexus of Louisville and he said the three row model is slated for February. The build will commence on December 18th, and get this, the three row model will be built in Japan!! With the better build quality in Japan, I would expect these models to not have the issues that the Canadian-built models will have.

Unless they put a different transmission and change how the sub-frame is connected to the frame, the ones made in Japan will have the same issues. Hesitation and vibration will likely continue in 2018's

How much do you guys expect the increase in cost to be for the three row model?

Default 3 Row model at LA show??

https://laautoshow.com/manufacturer/lexus/paged-2/2/

Link says RX350 L is one of the production vehicles from Lexus that will be on display at LA, which is at the end of the month.

Any reason to hold off getting a great deal on a 17 lux rx450 and wait for an 18? If people were guessing.
thanks

I just picked up mine last night. Honestly, everything I read didn't really point to anything significant enough in terms of changes to justify enduring another WI winter in my 20 year old truck.

There will always be tweaks and minor feature changes each year but unless the 3rd row seat is a must have (which for me it wasn't), I just saw no reason in waiting for the 2018. Even the complimentary Enform for 10 years wasn't enough to make me wait.

Just my personal take.

Hard to believe to that site, so I am turning to you guys.

Any news what will be new on RX350-2018?

Tnaks
I'm cautiously in the market for a 18 RX. I'd love to have 6 inches more space in the trunk, but I have no use for a 3rd row.
Hopefully, that extra 6 inches won't be used to make an ugly protruding snout.

That is the L model only.

According to Mag-X, the more commodious RXwill feature the same 2790mm wheelbase as the five-seat RX currently on sale. To accommodate a third row and two extra passengers, the RX L will have a lengthened rear overhang.

All up, the RX L is said to be 5050mm long, up 160mm from the five-seat car.

I wonder if that will be sufficient. Those with a Highlander can probably comment on how functional the 3rd row is.

Wheelbases (in inches):
Highlander/RX: 109.8
Acura MDX: 111.0
Ford Explorer: 112.8
MB GLE: 114.8
BMW X5: 115.5
Audi Q7: 117.9

Third rows in most SUVs that have them (other than perhaps the long base Yukon/Suburbans) are typically great for infants.
