We are looking at the vanilla RX, not the F Sport. The San Antonio dealer says the 2018 spec. will be the same as the 2017, and they do not have pricing yet.

I would suspect that you should be able to get a great deal on a 2017. Dealers with a deep inventory should be ready to deal to clear the lot for the 2018's

Default Any New Features on 2018 RX that are worth waiting on vs buying now?

I have been in the market for a RX 350 for a few months and have considered purchasing a low mileage 2016 or 2017 through carmax or a loaner from a Lexus dealership. I found this discussion topic about the GREAT DEALS some are getting on new vehicles, so now I am considering a new one (Naller Lexus seems to be a good local dealer to contact based on previous buyers ). Now that it is mid September and the 2018 models will be rolling out soon, I am wondering:
1. if there are any upgrades to the 2018 model worth waiting for.

2. With some of these 10-16% of MSRP that some of you are getting, will these deals get any sweeter for the DECEMBER To REMEMBER to make it even better to wait until then?

Check out the above thread, lots of discussion about the 2018.

As of today there is very little changes to the 2018....probably nothing worth waiting for. Your best "deal" will come with the 2017's that are on your dealers lot. The December to remember probably will have slightly better deals, but getting the vehicle you want, options, could be a bit more challenging.

Their leasing quote for those F Sports are sky high ($850 after tax with $4K down). I bought 2 of my Lexus from them 10 years ago and every time going there for service I always see new manager & sale persons. Although their service department is good. My friend just bought a new RX350 luxury package with $7500 discount from another dealer, he chose the luxury over the F Sport despite both having the same discount.

Interesting. I always use the same salesman there. He's been there for 20 years. They gave me a great deal on my RX a few years back, and they gave me $10k off my GS about a year and a half ago.

But the point of my post was simply to show that there are still lots of 2017s to chose from.

The only salesman there for a long time must be Wayne. I was just there last week with a friend of mine looking to buy a new GX, Wayne quotes him $1500 off for the one that we test drive but adds extra $1000 doc fees and $400 pro trim!! When we ask him the exact same car (same MSRP, color, and options) sitting on the showroom floor with big sign special $6000 off and why this one only $1500 discount plus $1000 doc fees he couldn't give us an answer. We went to Infiniti just a few blocks away and my friend bought a QX60 for almost $13K off.

Yes, they have plenty of RX in stock but I doubt they are selling well or give a big discount, and I asked them many times: $1000 doc fees??? LOL
I helped many friends and family buying new Lexus from CA dealers and shipping back to WA. Less hassle and cheaper than local dealers even we have to pay for shipping.

Yup, I was going to order from CA dealers until Lexus of Seattle finally cut me a somewhat decent deal. I was not working with Wayne though.

Seattle is an especially non-competitive market because Lexus of Bellevue/Tacoma/Fife (same company) are rude and greedy. They don't seem to understand the laws of supply and demand apply outside Washington. Cali is an extremely competitive market and it's very easy to buy down there and ship it up for much less.

Exactly correct, ericsan. Deals like you can get in California are not available up here. I've never had a hard time getting good deals out of Seattle, but nothing like what's available in California.

Default 2018 Release Date?

In the market to buy RX 350, got an awesome deal on a 2017 from Nellar Lexus, but thinking if I should wait on a 2018. When will they start coming out? I know there are not any updates other than 3rd row seating.

Carmax is a joke. I was considering trade in for the new 2017 RX450h back in April. Dealer can only trade for $1,500 while Carmax quoted $2,000. I end up selling it myself at Craiglist for $5,500 in ONE day.

You'll always do much better selling yourself if you're willing to accept the hassle.

LEXUS RX & RX HYBRID: Two years after its introduction, the fourth-generation RX sees several changes for 2018.

Most notably, both Enform Safety Connect* and Enform Service Connect* are now complimentary for the first 10 years of ownership (both were previously offered with a one-year trial). Among its many services, Enform Safety Connect includes a Stolen Vehicle Locator and Emergency Assistance Button (SOS), while Lexus Service Connect allows you to receive maintenance alerts, as well as view a Vehicle Health Report—on this site and the Lexus Drivers mobile app—that shows real-time fuel and engine-oil levels, mileage, and smart key battery status.

Also new for 2018: a darker finish for the 18-inch wheels*, as well as an available Premium Package for the RX Hybrid that includes a power-folding auto-dimming mirrors with memory, premium wood trim, leather-trimmed seating surfaces, a rear armrest with storage box, driver’s seat memory, and steering wheel memory. Plus, the RX 350 now offers the panorama glass roof and Blind-Spot Monitor* with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert* as options. (Note that on the RX Hybrid, the panorama glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, Navigation System*, and Blind-Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are now optional.)

Isn't there a premium already for the 450h or it a luxury? All those are currently options correct? Still in the pre purchase phase but getting very close. Thanks.
