I have a Galaxy S7 Edge and a 2016 RX-350. When an email pops up on the Lexus screen and I choose Read it deletes the message off the server. I am using IMAP protocol. I just want to preview the email and deal with it later when I am not driving.

Is there a setting I am missing or is this just the way it works?

I assume if you look at emails on the phone when away from the car the emails don't get deleted - is that correct?

I would have thought it relates to the phone settings, the car only displays what it reads from the phone.

 

I have the S6 and no emails get deleted unless I deleted them myself.

 

I have had this issue for a while. I did not realize it was related to the message feature until I took a long trip from Baltimore to central Illinois on Friday. I was reading emails and when I arrived they were all deleted. I don't see any issues with the settings. When I don't view the emails on the Lexus everything works well.

If I just read the message on my phone it stays on the server unless I delete it. When I view it on the Lexus it deletes it.
