I've been looking at the 2016 RX 350 AWD and noticed that there aren't very many available in my area. The 15's are selling around $25-29K (about $10K less than the '16's) but for obvious reasons, I'm going to wait to get the '16. Question is: Are the 16's going to take longer to go down in price due to the model change or do people expect it to drop to high $20's by this time next year (like the '15's are this year)? I'm seeing around $38-42K on the '16's around here. If it will drop next year when the '19's come out, is that around end of summer? TIA!

15s are going for that price because nobody wants the old body style.
Just like you, people want the new generation, so you won`t see the significant price drop unless Lexus comes out with a major changes for 2019 models.

I notice many of the 2015 RX350 have hovered between 27-35k for most of the year. Will most of the 2016s go down to the range over the course of the next year?
More hace the NX and UX stopped them from depreciating so soon?

2019 model is out and it has no change (customization on lexus website and it says 2019). Probably refresh in 2020 model.

There are lots of 2015s on the market so I expect the price to go down even further.
I was just hoping that the 2016s hit the mid 30s avg abd below next year. Same with the GS350

Other people may say different, but the following is just from my personal observations. Luxury cars experience a large drop in price when all the lease returns start coming in. Leases are commonly 3 years in length. The 2016 RX came out just over 3 years ago. Hence, you should see them start dropping soon. I have already seen many examples in CA advertised in the 32-36k range, which is down about 5k from 6-12 months ago. Of course, there are ones with higher prices - more optioned, lower mileage examples still show 40-45k easily.
