I think you were misled by the caption "Infinite gear ratios" No CVT has gears, only a belt and pulleys which give an infinite amount of gear ratios.

I drove a work car, RAV 4 with CVT but it could change gears manually too - when changing it felt like it was going through gears.

Thanks, I do follow that thread however when I looked at my car (450H F Sport) it appears that we do not have the sound generator. I believe the sound may be piped through the speaker system.
