I have the release video but was wondering if you have the actual brake job videos. He did separate front and rear brake videos but I never copied them. Again, not a big deal since I have done brakes many times.
The coolant is for the GS. Our gen RX has block drains that Viktor showed. Probably doing coolant soon, but again not a problem. Hope that he comes back again, but not looking good.

Thanks for this. I'm on a series of three changes on my 2017 RX 350 and I went looking for Viktor G’s video and poof, gone. LOL I’ve been searching all afternoon for the Temperature range and the torque spec’s. So thank you for sharing this. Much appreciated.
Now if I could just find how to lower the trans temp quicker. LOL

Hey @Quantum501 , what diff oil do you use in your rear diff and transfer case, and where do you buy it? I went to my local Lexus/Toyota dealer today to get the Toyota oil that VictorG specifies, but they don't sell it. The parts guy told me they use bulk 75W-90 for service, not the Toyota 75W-85. According to him, Toyota specifies their own oil "or equivalent."

I picked up the Toyota LT75W-85 at my local Toyota dealer. It was overpriced but they had it. Last time I went there I just asked what they could do with prices of parts/fluids, and he matched online prices that were at least 25% cheaper. Otherwise you can use Redline GL5 75W-85....or any other. Redline is like $20 quart and Toyota is at least double.

I have not seen any negative comments about Redline products in fact, Amazon is showing a rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars for the 1 gallon jug of 75w85 gear oil. And it is readily available either from Advance Auto Parts or online. I think I will be using it next time.

I changed the rear diff and transfer case fluids today on my 2020 RX350. Both fluids, at 50K miles, looked very good to my eye and there was minimal metallic sludge on both the drain plugs. I used Red Line GL-5 75W85. Interestingly, the local Lexus/Toyota dealer doesn't sell or use the Toyota GL-5 OEM oil. Their parts desk guy told me they use bulk 75W90 oil.
The error I made was not putting the RX on 4 jack stands. I'm thin, so thought just running it on some 2x lumber I had would be sufficient for me to do the work. It was for the rear diff; doing that job is easier than changing the oil on a vehicle whose oil is easy to change. The location of the transfer case fill plug, though, made the TC case harder than it should have been. VictorG's video made it look pretty easy, but he had the car on a lift. It was a real pain with the car raised only 1.5in/38mm. My torque wrench was too long, so I just had to get the fill plug "nice and snug" as VictorG said.
One last thing: the TC plugs are 24mm. That's pretty big. The only one I had was an impact socket, and it was too thick to fit on the fill plug. I had to have my wife buy a standard 24mm socket from a local auto parts store. I did not have to grind the chamfered lead-in off to get a good purchase on the plug.

Much easier up on jack stands. Tempted to keep the 4Runner on the ground but will see.
I bought a 24 socket that was very short and narrow that worked well on TC. Didn't even need extensions to replace.
Good job....should be good for another 50k+

I changed the differential and the transfer case fluid on my 2018 at 50K miles. I rolled the car onto 2x10 lumber pieces on the garage floor and that was high enough for me. The rear differential was easy-peasy, the old fluid didn't look dirty and there was very little gray metal debris on the plug. I bought two 1 qt. bags of Amsoil 75W-90, one each for the differential and the TC.
The transfer case, however, pretty well kicked my a$$. A standard 24 mm socket was just too tall to fit the space, no matter how I wriggled and angled and tried u-joints. I could have ground down my socket on my grinder. I thought hard about it, and decided to just take the oil to my favorite Muffler Bros. shop and pay them to do it, and also to rotate the tires. My bill was $79 for both. They said the old fluid appeared to be in good shape when they drained it.
