Default Bought RX as new, but it could be used?

I bought my new 2017 RX a few weeks ago new, but when I signed up for Lexus Enform, it won't let me because the VIN of my car was under another name/account.
Has any one run into this before?

That is strange. Have you contacted the dealer?

I don't trust the dealership, so I contacted Lexus directly. Lexus verified my purchase date (they had me tell them), and they said that I am the first owner since if another person has bought the vehicle, then the purchase date registered by Lexus would be earlier than my purchase date. The rep told me sometimes dealership went ahead to put expected buyer name into the Enform system, but the purchase never go thru. Still sound strange to me. My official purchasing document listed the RX as "NEW", and the vehicle had 21 miles on it, so I am inclined to think I am the first owner. Maybe I need to check with DVM (but I am not sure how to contact them for issue like this).

It was an individual name that was not mine.

not to worry since I do this all the time. Instead of asking the dealer while searching for the vehicle, I copy the VIN and register it to Lexus / Toyota owner sites and check out the features myself.

OK. I didn't think this was doable until you have some form of official registration to Lexus/Toyota. Thanks for sharing.
