I bought them last year to replace the OEM Bridgestones at 28K miles. Last week I had my 40K mile service. The tech measured the tread depth at a little over 10/32. Kind of amazing, compared to how fast the Bridgestones wore out

How is the sound level from the MaxLifes, now that you've both had them on for a while? I know it's hard to compare, but do you think they are as quiet as anything else you've had and are they as quiet now as when new? My OEM Ecopia's are stilling hanging in there (6-7/32" at 20K), but it looks like they will be ready to replace by Spring.

I took ownership of my RX at the end of September. Asking the dealer for a change of tires from Ecopias to Michelin was met with a brick wall. Bridgestone makes some good tires but Ecopia is not one of them. So with 490 miles on the Ecopias, I had my local tire dealer install Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires. There was a sale I couldn't say no to. Free install, plus a $100 rebate from NTB, plus a $70 rebate from Michelin. But still a little pricey.
So basically, how do two brands of new tires compare on a new car? My wife and I have noticed a difference. The Michelin's are smoother riding and quieter on a car that is already nice riding and quiet.

Pretty quiet as tires go granted I generally have the music playing. In fact, i just took my ES on an 800 mile roundtrip with the Maxlifes and continue to be very pleased with these shoes on both vehicles.

For what it's worth, the OEM Bridgestones had 10/32nds of meat on them. These Goodyear tires have 13/32nds....30% more meat from the factory,

I noticed zero difference in noise level, but (a) I tend to have radio or music on most of the time, and (b) I'm half deaf in one ear, and don't hear that well in the other one, either. LOL.

I just replaced my Ecopias with Michelin CrossClimate 2s. Costco was running a sale that was too good to resist. Big price reduction; 5-year road hazard warranty; free balancing and rotation going forward. The Ecopias were far from reassuring last winter in the snow.

The "far from reassuring in the snow" was exactly my thinking on those Ecopias. I bot the car in July 2020, so I felt the were ok for that first winter. But now that we are approaching the second winter, I feel as you do. "Far from reassuring". I'm fairly "value conscious" in my other life's purchases, but I error on the side of caution with tires.

To those that recently purchased the Goodyear Maxlifes, there is a $50 rebate on four tires. My prepaid card just arrived in the mail today.

I bought through Sam’s Club and got an $80 (if you buy 4 tires) applied instantly.

They were running that same deal when I bought mine in August 2020. It gets the cost down to a tolerable level.

I believe the offer is valid though year end.
