i just threw on a set of Michelin Cross Climate 2's and they are INCREDIBLE. not only are they super well reviewed, but i took them on a 500km trip to Washington state and they were both quiet and grippy.

- touchpad is annoying and at the worst possible location
It's exactly at the place where I would rest my fingers so I often accidentally activating it. Is there a way to disable it somehow? I guess some duct tape would do the job but would look silly in a new car
Thanks for any tips in advance!
You bought a brand new car and immediately changed the tires? How bad could they have been?

IMHO really bad. It was one of those 'Eco' tires optimized for low fuel consumption. In exchange you get limited traction and longer braking distance.
I had an emergency braking on the highway after buying the car and immediately felt the need to change it.
But of course, this is all subjective, Im sure many people are happy with the factory tires.

My 450H came standard with Michelins tires. Not sure you can get better than Michelin and not sure what you mean by ECO tires?

Mine was Bridgestone, by "eco" I meant tires like these : https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...y.jsp?ttid=155

They are optimized for fuel economy and not for traction so the manufacturers can provide lower MPG figures.

Probably the Ecopia H/L 422 plus. Trade them in while new and get something for them. Picked up my new RX yesterday, it had Michelin...go figure.

The Michelin OEMs stink as well and will wear out in no time. Beware.

Many on here, like me, would disagree with you. But....... YMMV.

Original Michlein's have only 9/32 depth and old style long lasting tires had 11/32 depth. Lexus at one time had a warning posted not to expect over 20K miles on OEM tires. My new RX 450h came with 20" Michleins as I had requested. I dumped the 2020 "F Sport" with red interior and glass roof panel. I now have a regular sun/moon roof and parchment interior. I prefer the normal RX seats to the bolstered "F Sport" seats. Did not want to go for the 4 cyl engine on the 2023s. I prefer the time proven RX with the 6 Cyl. engine.

Default 2019 RX350 Base - best 18" tires?

I searched the forums and couldn't find recommendations for the best replacement all season tires.
Current tires are Michelin LTX Premier. I think they are the originals but ready for replacement after 40k klm.
Suggestions??

I've never had the Premiers, but had Defenders on a RAV4. Lasted 65k!

I bought my special order 2021 RX new and they came with Bridgestone Ecopias. The dealer wouldn't change out the Ecopias without charging me full cost for new Michelins. So after 500 miles I changed over to Michelin Cross Climate 2's at my local tire store and noticed an immediate difference. Please note this comparison is between two sets of new tires on a new car. The Cross Climate 2's are quieter, smoother, have better grip and is a Grand Touring All-Season tire which has a Sever Snow Service Rating. Grip on dry pavement is amazing. These come in the 18" wheel size. I sold the Ecopias to a friend for $100 just to get rid of them. He's going to mount them on his used car before selling it.
