You'll be hard pressed to find negative comments on this forum for either the Michelin CC2 or the GY Assurance MaxLife. Both get very high marks in this thread. I have been driving the CC2s on my RX since this summer (~8K miles) and am very pleased with them. Like you, road noise and ride quality are top of mind for me. The wet traction of the CC2, at least when new, is very good, as well.

I assume your OEM tires were Michelin LTX. You may have set a world record at 68K miles for that tire. There are lots of complaints on this forum from people that don't get a third of that.

Well, probably we should consider it pure luck that they lasted so long!

Ordered the Michelin CC2s from Costco. Scheduled to be installed on 12/06. Thank you all for your comments and feedback. Much appreciated.

I live in Washington state, like to drive fast on mountainous curving roads, wanted something really grippy in the wet, and was willing to accept fewer miles and some noise for the grip alone...but I didn't have to! I put Michelin Cross Climate 2s on my car.

Using Michelin's $125 marketing coupon, my 5% military discount at Discount Tire, buying the tires in Oregon where there is no sales tax, and selling my original tires for a good price, I could not resist going with the best possible tire for my driving style. As soon as I left the tire store and hit the slushy highway, I could tell I made the right choice. However, one interesting drawback to the CCs is I can occasionally hear the water hitting the underside of the car as the tires channel it away from where the rubber meets the road.

As I had less than 5,000 miles on my 2022 RX F-Sport when I put on the new tires, I was asked by the tire guy what I didn't like about the Bridgestone tires it came with. I told him the tires were just fine and I did not notice road noise or lack of grip during my summer driving trips, but I wanted to be "on rails" in the wet and slush of a Pacific Northwest winter.

Wow, these look like a very aggressive tread pattern. Are they noisey?

They may be quiet now but when they wear there's less flex in the tread and the noise will start. I used tyres like that years ago, very quiet at first but under braking when old there was a massive noise, almost a grating noise. I thought there was a problem with the brakes but it was just the tyres.

I have the Continental CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus tires,
15,000 miles now, not showing any wear yet. So far no complaints, would buy them again.

I bought these tires because I have had very positive experiences with Continental in the past, especially as to longevity, not because of something I read.

I own a 2019 RX350 with probably less than 30k miles on it and I had to replace the original 4 Michelin tires. I replaced 4 Kumho CRUGEN PREMIUM KL33 tires at BJ's tire center this September for $592 (buy 3 get 1 free), and the deal waived the $80 installation fee for that weekend. Very quiet and has smooth steering.

Here's an interesting comparison of essentially worn-out Michelin CrossClimate 2s to new budget tires in snow, wet and dry conditions. It certainly speaks well for the CC2s.

I have the same, excellent tyres, very smooth, quiet and handle well at a lower price than the bigger names. Seems there's a lot of brand snobbery in the US, Kumhos don't have a great name but here in Australia they are popular.

Have 2017 RX350 with ecopia 20” wear not great but very quiet until recently being 6 yrs old.I am looking to get Bridgestone Alenza AS ULTRA but doesn’t seem like many have tried. Can get for $900 out the door with VA discount. Does anyone have experience with these?

I just have to say I just put Michelin Crossclimate 2’s on my F-Sport and I’ve never been more impressed with an all season/severe weather rated tire. I just drove about 6 hrs in all kinds of conditions/temps; Dry, wet, 6”-8” slush, packed snow, wet & dry snow, ice. Incredible grip. Never been more confident. Crossing over slush ridges and riding in pooled ruts. No problem. Check out some reviews on YouTube. They even grind one down to it minimum 2mm tread, drive another 4K miles on it and then test it against a new mid tier all season. It does as well or better!

Just drove my iHighlander 260 miles, with a full tank, on the Cross Climate2's. The dash said I had 60 miles left. I averaged 70 plus miles per hour. I suspect that my mileage suffers a little due to the tread design compared to the Toyo's.

Default New vehicle awful tires

Just purchased 2022 RX350 with Bridgestone Ecopia 235/55-20. Awful tire. Traded in 2019 RX350 with Michelin Premier LTX.
I know there is a thread on tire comparisons but these tires have an hard ride. Lexus says there is no recourse.

Do I just live with these or spend the $1,100 to swap out. Any thoughts, recommendations ?
Thanks,
David
