OEM Michelin, OEM Bridgestone Vs Other (merged threads)

Just purchased the Goodyear Assurance Max Life (235/55R20 102V) for my 2017 Lexus RX 350. I'm in Houston, so these seemed good enough for summer/rain.
Sams club has the tires for $211.99 each. Plus you get $80 off for a set of 4. So that brought the total to $768 + $40 (half off) for installation. Discount tire price matched it for me so went ahead and got it done there. Discounts original price was $225 each tire and no discounts besides good year $50 mail in rebate. Discount was also charging $96 for installation but they price matched Sams at $40.
The Bridgestone Ecopia were extremely worn out by 32k miles (this car doesn't get driven too much). I definitely did not want to get those again. I was also considering the Michelin CrossClimate 2 but didn't feel it was worth the price difference since I don't live in a snowy climate. The Discount Tire rep recommended some Falken Pro G5s which I passed on.
Looks like there is a $50 rebate for good year assurance max life: https://www.goodyear.com/en-US/save/rebate-center

I have always been a fan of Michelin but as several others have said the dealer puts crap tires on their new cars. I spoke to a guy I know who deals with different dealers. He told me he understood that Michelin makes these cheap crap tires just for dealers which get them in bulk for around $53.00 each. They don't care about those who buy their new cars...

If you look on Tire Rack for ratings you will see that they are similar with the Michelin having slightly higher ratings on most categories. The Michelins have an H rating and the Goodyears a V (I believe that V is the OEM rating for the Lexus tires). So they rate very similar with each having slight rating differences.
I have 18" wheels so I went with the Goodyears. I have never had Goodyear before and was hesitant....always had Michelins or Continental tires in the past. I am very happy with the Goodyear Assurance MaxLife. They are quiet, have excellent grip (in New England and have had no issues). They are also much quieter than the stock Michelins (not Defender2) that came on my RX. I have over 20,000 miles on these and they show virtually no wear....should last a long time. I also got them much cheaper (and a cash card on top of the lower price). Very happy with these tires.
both of your choices seem like good tires.

I think you mean "manufacturers". Dealers don't have much control about what tires come from the factory on the new cars. I don't think dealers can buy Michelin tires in bulk for $53. But I agree that the Original Equipment Manufacturer tires are generally inferior to what the individual buys on their own.

I am assuming that you have the 20" wheel.

Tires - CrossClimate2 vs Assurance WeatherReady
Lookin for advices - 4th Gen RX350 with 20' wheels. Highway + winding country roads, well paved, careful driving. Concerns in heavy rain and snowy conditions.
I used CC2 on 19' Forester Touring - great in wet and snow but they pick up small rocks. Now I've narrowed down to these 2 tires.
