Default Road Rash

I just noticed some road rash on my rims. Has anyone had their rims repaired? How much did it cost?

Rim repair/refinishing places are easy to look up, usually about a $100 to dismount the tire and fix.
One complication regarding your beautiful wheels however, are they chromed or PVD coated?

They are PVD coated. Does that make it more difficult/expensive to fix?

Yes apparently so. Lexus offers Tire and Rim protection as an Insurance through the
Business office, cost about what a Tire and Rim would cost so it's worth it if you tend
to ding a rim or two...specifically does NOT cover chromed or PVD coated wheels

so they offer coverage, but don't cover chromed or pvd coated wheels ??

lots of you tube videos showing the different processes. I had FSport wheels repaired at $50 each here in SoCal, technician matched color and applied clear coat. Looks like new.
